I first met Ken Russell in 1999 when I began working with his family business. Ken impressed me early on as being wise beyond his years. He possessed a maturity and vision that made it possible for a team of over one hundred-forty world-class employees to be deployed to various countries. The negotiations were often challenging but Ken possessed the focus and confidence necessary to deal with executives worldwide to make the promotions a win-win for all involved.
During my time with Russell Promotions I observed Ken change gears effortlessly as priorities dictated, managing staff, overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, production, shipping and distribution of the international company. Ken led without seeking recognition, taught the proprietary elements of the company's services with patience, made fiscal decisions that supported the local and international staff and kept the multi-million dollar budget on track. I recall pondering how he managed the weight of his responsibilities with such professionalism, ethics and grace. All working with Ken were given the opportunity to avail themselves of unique opportunities to experience success and personal growth. He had high expectations of all of us, but he also gave more than he expected. He led by example and his standards were high.
The day-in, day-out work with Ken enabled me to enjoy his lighter side. He was an astute business man with a refreshing sense of humor. While he fostered an appreciation of the job at hand, he also encouraged keeping things in perspective, maintaining a steady pace and taking time to laugh. It was clear to me from my first meeting with Ken that he has a reverence for life, the earth, and other cultures. His world view is comprehensive and global. I have no doubt that as a City Commissioner he will bring these values to the job at hand. His innate business sense will benefit Miami fiscally. His strength of character will inspire the community to rally around worthwhile and meaningful undertakings.

I met Ken Russell hrough his charitable work with the Boy's and Girls Club. He has a long standing influence in the paddling and kite surfing community. Ken loves Miami and is a prime candidate for political office in Miami: I believe that his strength and character combined with his love for the community will help to make for a stronger Miami. He is also a pretty decent ukulele player.

I have known Ken in excess of 5 years as a businessman and close associate. I can honestly say without reservation that Ken always presents himself professionally with a degree of integrity rarely seen these days. As a politician and community organizer, Ken thinks outside the box, has a positive attitude in the midst of confusion, and has the common sense to work through any all obstacles with creativity and intellect.
Ken's people skills are absolutely incredible. He always has the time for a hello, a kind word, or in depth conversation. He just understands-- Ken Gets It! The most impressive trait that is transparent as the waters off Miami, is Ken's commitment to whatever endeavor is at hand. Whether it be to family, business, or community issues, he's All the Way In.
Miami needs a man of Ken's abilities, confidence, knowledge, dedication, and honesty. I am proud to have Ken as a friend.

Dick Pettigrew, State of Florida Former Speaker of the House and Senator
Been working with Ken for years in the water sports industry. Ken ran his business with the customer front and center in everything he did. His moral compass was tested many times over the years and we can always say we were proud to partner with him. He will serve your community well.

I have known Ken Russell and his family for the better part of ten years and I never thought he would run for public office. Now that he has, however, I could think of very few people who would represent their constituents as selflessly and as competently as him. He would not be guided by the special interests nor by personal gain. He will serve the community well. Vote for Ken!

I support Ken Russell because I know from first hand experience that he has no agenda other than to represent the people of District 2 in a fair and honest manner. I urge you all to do the same. His commitment and tenacity are unwavering. Time for a fresh face to replace legacy and corruption. Return District 2 to the people. May the odds be ever in your favor, Ken!

Ken Russell, you are the best! Miami will be lucky to have you as a commissioner. You bring enormous experience, wisdom and passion to all you do and if you are elected I know you will change things for the better. Best of luck, and if I were in your 'hood you would have my vote!!

I've known Ken and his family for decades. When he was younger he was a tenant of mine in Coconut Grove and has always been a polite and caring person. His father Jack was was a good person and his mother is outstanding! I've seen how Ken invests time with his children and takes an active role in helping his community. I have been a Real Estate Broker in the Miami area for over 35 years and have the deepest respect and support for him. He'll make Miami proud.
